Pigments
RED PIGMENTS
AN NATURAL RED 5GM/KG DRY is a red carotenoid pigment used for the pigmentation of egg yolks, skin pigmentation in meat chickens and red fish. This product is approved by ACO (BFA) as an allowed input in feeds for conventional and organic livestock. It is extracted from several kinds of red peppers of the capsicum sp. and marigold flowers (Tagetes erecta) and saponified. The manufacturing procedures are in accordance with ISO9001. It should be formulated into feeds taking into account the pigmentation required of the livestock or poultry being fed and the contribution of natural occurring pigments in the feed. The following table outlines recommendations for natural red with its sister natural yellow product (AN NATURAL YELLOW 20GM/KG DRY).

YELLOW PIGMENTS
AN NATURAL YELLOW 20GM/KG DRY is a yellow carotenoid pigment used for the pigmentation of egg yolks and skin pigmentation in meat chickens. This product is also approved by ACO (BFA) as an allowed input in feeds for conventional and organic livestock. Xanthophylls in marigold flower exist in the form of xanthophyll di- or mono-esters. However, for effective absorption in the gastrointestinal tract and subsequent transportation in blood, the ester forms must be converted into free xanthophylls, through the process of saponification.
AN NATURAL YELLOW 20GM/KG DRY should be formulated into feeds taking into account the pigmentation required of the livestock or poultry being fed and the contribution of natural occurring pigments the feed. General recommended usage is 300 to 2,000 g/tonne. The following table outlines recommendations for yellow with its sister natural red product (AN NATURAL RED 5GM/KG DRY).
